Vaughan Buckley found the land for the Wright's Peak development years ago.

"I always thought it would be a spectacular location for homes that could never have their view blocked," said the owner of Vaughan Buckley Construction.

The parcel — now the site of nine townhouses — is the highest point in Philadelphia's 19128 zip code, he said, meaning homes like the three-bedroom, three-bath property at 335 Wright have views of both the skyline and the Main Line.

"Also lets you get a live traffic report on 76 by looking out the window," he said.

Buckley said consolidating the land, building a new street, and subdividing among seven owners took him several years to complete. The new homes are just hitting the market. Buckley said he's especially proud of the efficiency in the properties.

"Modular buildings are high-performance structures built to a higher standard than most site-built homes, and they have an energy rating 20 percent-plus better than conventional, code-built homes," he said.

The 2,900-square-foot home at 335 Wright also features a gourmet kitchen with custom cabinetry, stainless-steel appliances, and a built-in wine refrigerator. The master bedroom  boasts its own laundry room (the second in the home) and an en-suite bath with dual rainfall showers.

Vaughan said his favorite element of the home is the roof deck.

"You're in the middle of an urban environment, but it's peaceful and serene," he said. "Amazing how much of a difference being above it all makes.

He suspects buyers will be drawn to Roxborough's central location. "It's an easy walk to Manayunk Main Street and a short stroll to Wissahickon Creek and Fairmount Park."

Vaughan said he knows the Roxborough community firsthand.

"The neighborhood is an excellent mix of long-time owners and newcomers and young families," he said. "As a resident of the neighborhood myself, I feel it's a great place to be."

The home is listed by Jennifer Grosskopf at Keller Williams Realty for $525,000.
