When Alice Remmey and her husband were house hunting in 2013, they knew which neighborhood to look in.

"We were renting in Queen Village, and we were determined to stay in the neighborhood," she said.

The next thing that hooked them about the condo on Christian Street was the outdoor space and the garage.

"We love that our home provides a courtyard that instantly connects us with our neighbors," Remmey said. "We have taken full advantage of the private space, especially to run around with our toddler."

The two-bedroom unit includes one full bath as well as a powder room. The family renovated both baths as well as the kitchen when they moved in.

"Lots of paint and new light fixtures as well," she said.

The kitchen now includes new stainless steel appliances, white subway tile and granite countertops.

The neighborhood has grown, along with the size of the family, Remmey said.

"My son and I have taken full advantage of the many wonderful kid and family programs in the area," she said. "We love the walkability of our neighborhood."

Remmey said they are only now looking to sell the home in order to find a larger space for their family.

"As we look to grow even more, the time seems right to move to the next chapter," she said.  "This is very bittersweet for us since we have loved our time here and will miss everything about it."

The property is currently listed by Coldwell Banker's Jim Roche for $359,000.

Despite the property being for sale, Remmey said they are still improving the home – and their favorite part of it.

"The lucky new owners will get to take advantage of the new and improved courtyard," she said. "As plans are already in the works."
