On The Market: NoLibs condo with stunning roof deck

On the Market profiles homes for sale in the Philadelphia region.

On a whim, Danielle and Brad Fisher decided to take a look at a newly built condo about six months before their wedding in 2011.

"We saw this place and had to have it," Danielle said. "It was the first and only home we saw."

They put an offer in three days later.

"Did I mention we weren't intending to buy?" Fisher said.

The combination of character details like exposed brick and wood floors and the polish of new construction convinced the couple it was the perfect home for them. Plus, there was the roof deck.

"The view!' Fisher said. "Never had we seen the city look so beautiful."

The home includes a private roof deck offering panoramic skyline views. The space is also home to an extensive garden, and is wired and ready for a wall-mount outdoor television.

Apart from the deck, Fisher says her favorite space in the home is the kitchen.

"As an avid cook, I love how big the kitchen is and how much storage I have for my appliances."

The open kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, granite counters and an island counter. Floors are Brazilian Teak throughout.

Upstairs, the master bedroom includes an en-suite bath with soaking tub and separate shower. A second bedroom, laundry and bathroom fill out the upper level of the nearly 1,500-square-foot home.

The couple and their daughter have enjoyed family life in Northern Liberties, particularly by visiting restaurants and watching the local building boom.

"It's an exciting time in our neighborhood with all the new construction," Fisher said. "We moved here before that because we loved the location and the house, but I can see now that the neighborhood is changing and the vibe is shifting to be much more residential."

In particular, Fisher said the Northern Liberties Neighborhood Association has helped residents advocate for responsible development with an eye toward ensuring ample parking in the growing neighborhood.

"The location is so awesome," she said. "It's far enough on the outskirts that parking is free and isn't a nightmare. We have two cars and rarely have any parking trouble."

Fisher said the family is likely to miss the hubbub when they move to southern New Jersey.

"My husband and I loved our home before we were a family of three, and it's been a great place to raise a little girl," she said. "It will be hard to go – but we know we're ready for the next phase in our family life."

The home is currently listed by RE/MAX's John Benson for $425,000.
