Winehouse played her hit "Rehab," and another tune while backed by a band including Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson, of the Roots, on drums.

Word of Winehouse's performance spread through the crowd during the show, which Jill Scott headlined. The soulful British singer popped into Moriarty's (1116 Walnut) Saturday night for a few drinks before her sold-out show at the Electric Factory.

Hank Baskett, A.J. Feeley, Matt McCoy, Todd Herremans and a few more Eagles hit 32° (16 S. 2nd) Friday night. Former councilman and convict Leland Beloff was

Sixers PA announcer and 93.3 WMMR DJ Matt Cord checked out the Killers show at the Borgata Saturday night.

former Rutgers classmates at Public House Logan Square (18th & Cherry) the other night for an alumni party. Smith signed autographs, posed for photos and hung out for several hours.

Specter supports Cummings
It's rare for U.S. senators to get involved in Traffic Court elections, but Arlen Specter hosted a fundraiser for Mayfair Civic Association President Scott Cummings Saturday morning at the Holiday Inn City Avenue. Specter met Cummings, a candidate for Traffic Court Judge, in 1988 when Cummings handed security for former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
Bykofsky, others
are honored
What do Andy Rooney, Geraldo Rivera and Stu Bykofsky have in common? Old? Cranky? Sure. But something
else, too. Each received a commendation
at the Genesis Awards, presented by the
Hollywood office of the Humane Society of the United States, for "contributions
toward making this world a more humane place for all animals."
