Dan Gross | Ex-lover disses Jade McCarthy

WE DON'T expect that NBC 10 sports reporter Jade McCarthy will be getting back together with her ex-boyfriend anytime soon. Matt Perrault, a sports-talk radio host on Omaha's KXSP, Big Sports 590 AM, dissed McCarthy, who was recently featured as a Daily News Sexy Single, during an interview on the Todd and Tyler Radio Empire, syndicated on several Midwest sports-talk stations. While insulting his ex-flame on the Todd and Tyler show, Perrault never mentioned her name or NBC 10, but refers to her Sexy Single profile.

Jade McCarthy

will be getting back together with her ex-boyfriend anytime soon.

"She got her job because guys want to have sex with her," Perrault said, echoing the unfortunate sexism that has long plagued women in sports broadcasting.

"She got her job because she's a hot blonde," Perrault continued.

He said McCarthy resented him for knowing more about sports than she did and she felt he was "an unsupportive jerk."

"It's ridiculous, it's insulting and it's disappointing what you learn about people after the fact," McCarthy told us yesterday. "I work really hard, and by no means do I think I have my job because of the way I look.

"I think he's just jealous," she added. The couple broke up four months ago after dating several years. She appeared on 94.1 WYSP's Matt & Huggy show yesterday and will possibly talk sports regularly on the show.

At 81, Rickles still razor-sharp

We have to admit, it feels nice to be put down by Don Rickles.

"Don't do the funny stuff, Dan," he warned after he told us that he's 81 years old and we replied, "You don't look a day over 80."

Rickles plays Atlantic City's Hilton Friday through Sunday (Tix available at HiltonAC.com).

His new book, "Rickles' Book," just spent five weeks on the New York Times best-seller list. Rickles wasn't interested in writing a book when Simon & Schuster approached him about it.

But now he calls himself "The Jewish Mark Twain."

The comedian, the subject of a documentary by director John Landis due to air on HBO in December, says he's "as sharp as I was 20 years ago. If that gave out, I'll walk away.

"I'm improvising on stage more than I ever have," says the comedian who has never worked blue, though he was once known for pushing the envelope.

" 'Son of a bitch' is as far as I'll go on stage," says Rickles, who feels that in another life he would have made a good psychiatrist.

He's hoping to catch up with the "Geator with the Heater," Jerry Blavat, tomorrow at the Hilton, where Blavat hosts a dance party at the Beach Bar from 5 to 7.

"He's a wonderful kid," Rickles says of his longtime friend.

Tyra Banks here for Beyonce

Tyra Banks will be here tomorrow, hanging out with Beyonce backstage at the Wachovia Center. Banks is taping exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage during Beyonce's concert, to air on her syndicated "The Tyra Banks Show," now based out of New York. "The Tyra Banks Show" will be seen at 10 a.m. weekdays on Fox 29 beginning Sept. 10. It now airs at 2 p.m. on the CW Philly 57.

Hottie Heidi held up at PHL

Heidi Klum is used to walking the runway, but yesterday morning the supermodel spent 90 minutes waiting on one as her USAir flight to Los Angeles was delayed for 90 minutes. At least the "Project Runway" host, in town selling her jewelry line on QVC Tuesday, was stuck in first-class.

Nakano becomes a mommy

Congrats to NBC 10/myphl17 anchor Denise Nakano, who just welcomed her first child, a son, Shane Nakano Hermosisima, with psychotherapist husband Ernesto Hermosisima. Shane arrived three weeks earlier than expected, and weighed in at 7 pounds, 7 ounces at Lankenau Hospital. *
