Andra Day. Old-school soul with a retro Billie Holiday look, an Apple commercial with Stevie Wonder, and a flair for jazzy interpretations of hip-hop songs by Kendrick Lamar and Eminem. Sunday at Union Transfer.

"The Last Waltz." The Martin Scorsese-directed 1978 film chronicling the star-studded San Francisco final concert by The Band, whose promoter is the subject of the Bill Graham and the Rock & Roll Revolution exhibit. Prescreening "Highs in the '70s" party with WXPN DJ Dan Reed. 6 p.m. Wednesday at the National Museum of American Jewish History.

Strand of Oaks. Fans have been waiting patiently for new music from Philadelphia rocker Tim Showalter since HEAL, his 2014 breakthrough album as Strand of Oaks. Here's the first chance, as he performs a solo show in Arden, Del., before playing the three subsequent nights (two already sold out) at Boot & Saddle in South Philly. With Jason Anderson.
