"Manchester by the Sea" Original Soundtrack Album. Calming, melancholy sound track to Kenneth Lonergan's heartbreaking (and surprisingly funny) movie starring Casey Affleck is made up mostly of Lesley Barber-composed chorale music. It works beautifully in the film and on its own. With an Ella Fitzgerald and the Ink Spots added bonus. On Milan Records.

Matisyahu. The Orthodox Jewish roots-reggae front man born Matthew Miller in West Chester brings his annual Festival of Lights holiday tour to town. Tuesday at TLA.

Killiam Shakespeare. Excellently named and impressively bearded Philadelphia jazz-funk, genre-ignoring collective pooling the talents of Corey Bernhard, Steve McKie, and Chris Turner. Tuesday at Silk City and Wednesday at South.

"Jingle Barack." Saturday Night Live says goodbye to the Obama presidency with this homage to Run-DMC's "Christmas in Hollis" with Chance the Rapper and Kenan Thompson paying tribute to a POTUS fond of "shooting hoops in high-waist jeans" and Leslie Jones declaring her lust for Joe Biden.
