K

ESHA

vs.

Dr. Luke

has been going on longer than the presidential election - basically since the time of the caveman.

Now, according to Entertainment Weekly, more than 18 months after she first filed charges against Luke, Kesha has dropped her case in Los Angeles.

But only in Los Angeles. That's where the sexual-abuse case was filed. Her record-label contract battle goes on.

"My fight continues," Kesha wrote on Facebook. "I need to get my music out. I have so much to say. This lawsuit is so heavy on my once free spirit, and I can only pray to one day feel that happiness again.

"I am continuing to fight for my rights in New York," Kesha wrote. "Thank you for all your support. The support of my fans has been so beautiful and I'm so grateful for it. I'm not sure where I would be without you all."

Dr. Luke's lawyers say his defamation claim against Kesha is still proceeding.

In order to perform and make some money to pay her massive legal bills, Kesha will embark on a 17-date, late summer tour, her first in three years.

"I'm playing songs you've never heard me play before," Kesha said, "and I may never play again."

Kesha will play the Waterfront at Harrah's in Atlantic City on Aug. 6.

Yelchins seek suit

The grieving parents of

Anton Yelchin

(

Star Trek: Beyond

) are planning to sue Fiat Chrysler and other companies they believe are responsible for thir son's "wrongful death," per TMZ.com.

Yelchin was killed in June when his 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee rolled backwards and pinned him against the security gate at his home.

The claim is that a bad e-shift in the 2015 Cherokee allows drivers to think their car is in park when it's in neutral.

TATTBITS

* Legendary Broadway composer

Stephen Sondheim

, 86, says in the Washington Post that his new musical, based on two films by

Luis Bunuel

, will open at the Public Theater in New York in 2017. It's written with

David Ives

(

Venus in Fur

) and will be the first new musical for Sondheim (

Sweeney Todd

,

Into the Woods

,

West Side Story

) since

Road Show

nearly a decade ago.

Jimmy Fallon will host the 2017 Golden Globe Awards Jan. 8 on NBC, the network said Tuesday.

Fallon, host of NBC's Tonight Show, has a playful humor that's a good match for the "spontaneous and uninhibited" awards show, NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said.

That he's on NBC probably had nothing to do with it.

* Since it is not beholden to advertisers and the need to air news stories that fit well around erectile dysfunction ads, HBO's announcement of a nightly news show could be interesting. Vice News Tonight starts Sept. 26.

Steven Bochco is in talks to reboot his terrific corporate-courtroom drama L.A. Law (1986-1994). We don't really see the need here at Tattle Original Programming, but if it will get Susan Dey out of retirement, we're all for it.

* Now that Golden State Warrior Draymond Green has publicly snapchatted a private photo of his manhood, it was only a matter of time before the clever, PR-seeking folks at Vivid Entertainment offered him a porn deal.

TMZ.com reports that Vivid boss Steve Hirsch sent Green a letter urging the hoops star to make a celebrity sex tape.

"Here's the deal: We will give you

$100K to star in a porn called 'Drayzilla,' " Hirsch wrote. "You call all the shots. You pick your co-stars and set up the scene however you want."

Vivid has previously worked with Kim Kardashian, Chyna, Kendra Wilkinson, Pam Anderson and other celeb porn makers.

Now the company wants to add another Warrior to the Splash Brothers.
