Rockettes, Mormon Tabernacle Choir booked for Trump's inauguration, but not everyone is happy about it.

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, which Ronald Reagan famously called "America's Choir" at his first inauguration, has announced it will perform at Donald Trump's Jan. 20 inauguration. There has been a mixed response, "with people expressing both opposition and support," LDS Church rep Eric Hawkins said in a statement quoted by the Deseret News of Salt Lake City. "The choir's participation continues its long tradition of performing for U.S. presidents of both parties."

A Change.org petition urging the church to reconsider had been signed by more than 7,900 people as of Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Radio City Rockettes, also slated to perform, announced that dancers would not be forced to participate. The decision came after one dancer complained on Instagram.

Phoebe Pearl said she was "embarrassed and disappointed." Her message, which was deleted several hours later, said, "The women I work with are intelligent and are full of love and the decision of performing for a man that stands for everything we're against is appalling." The New York Times said the company's decision contradicted an email sent to dancers by the American Guild of Variety Artists that said, "If you are full-time, you are obligated."
