400 students switch schools again

For one more day, 400 Bayard Taylor Elementary School students are having their classes at Roberto Clemente Middle School. On Monday, bricks falling from an exterior wall prompted concerns about the building’s structural integrity, so the students were bused to the middle school, less than a mile away in North Philadelphia.

Buses will transport students back to Taylor for dismissal at the end of the day.

About 150 students and their teachers continue have their classes at the Taylor Annex, a separate facility on the block.

Taylor, serving kindergarten through fifth grade, is at 3698 N. Randolph St., at the border of Hunting Park and Franklinville. Clemente is at 122 W. Erie Ave.
