Joshua Schrier, an assistant professor of chemistry, is scheduled to take a sabbatical semester in Berlin.
His area of research will "focus on the experimental synthesis and characterization of silicatene, essentially single molecular monolayer sheets of windowpane glass," according to the college.
Carol Solomon, a visiting professor of independent college programs and an art historian and curator, is expected to research contemporary art in Morocco over three successive years.
This is Solomon's second Fulbright award. In 2012, she was in the Middle East and North African Regional Program to research contemporary art and identity in Morocco and Tunisia.
