Temple freshman dies in fall from dorm window
Cause of Temple freshman's death is pending the results of an investigation by police and the coroner's office.
A Temple University freshman died Tuesday morning in a fall from a fifth-floor window of his residence hall on the North Philadelphia campus, university officials said.
Richard Dalcourt, 19, a mechanical-engineering major from Plainsboro, N.J., fell about 10:30 a.m. from the 1940 Residence Hall on Liacouras Walk. He was in his first semester at Temple.
The cause of his death is pending an investigation by police and the coroner's office.
"We join Richard's family and friends in mourning his loss," Temple president Richard M. Englert said in a statement.
