A University of Pennsylvania senior died Thursday night off campus, according to an email sent to the university community.
In the email, Vice Provost for University Life Valarie Swain-Cade McCoullum did not provide a cause of death for Nicholas A. Moya, 21, a math and economics major from Radnor Township.
Moya, a Radnor High School graduate, was a member and former president of Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity, a data analyst for the men's basketball team and volunteer for the West Philadelphia Tutoring project, McCollum said.
A support session for students was being held Friday afternoon in the Ben Franklin Room in Houston Hall.
Members of the fraternity declined comment when reached by the Daily Pennsylvanian, the student-run university news site.
