James Bond: The Kardashians are idiots
James Bond star Daniel Craig says he’s disgusted by the Kardashians have made their private lives into a career
Enough already! exclaims James Bond star Daniel Craig, who tells GQ's UK edition he's disgusted by the way reality stars have made a lucrative career out of performing emotional burlesque shows on TV.
Craig singles out the Kardashian Clan – most notably, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé and their mum Kris Jenner – who dominate reality TV and the headlines.
"It's not about being afraid to be public with your emotions or about who you are and what you stand for. But if you sell it off it's gone. You can't buy it back – you can't buy your privacy back," Craig tells the mag in a chat excerpted by London's Daily Mail.
Craig, 43, who has kept pretty much mum about his wedding this summer to fellow Brit beauty and acting maestro, Rachel Weisz, says he's especially ticked off by celebrities who bare it all to the public, then complain that their privacy is being invaded by the media.
"'Ooh I want to be alone'," Craig mocks, "[bleep] you. We've been in your living room. We were at your birth. You filmed it for us and showed us the placenta and now you want some privacy?"
A particularly salient example, a paradigmatic exemplar, if you will, Craig says, are the Kardashians. "Look at the Kardashians, they're worth millions. I don't think they were that badly off to begin with but now look at them," says the Cowboys & Aliens star, who began his pro acting career at 16, when he joined the National Youth Theatre.
"You see that and you think 'what, you mean all I have to do is behave like a [bleep] idiot on television and then you'll pay me millions."
Adds Craig, "I'm not judging it – well, I am obviously."
I'd be worried if I were a KK: 007 has a license to kill.
