Kingsley joins cast of next Scorsese film
For his first film since winning the Oscar, Martin Scorsese has added another fellow Academy favorite. Ben Kingsley is joining a Shutter Island cast that already includes Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Ruffalo, according to a published report.

Based on Dennis Lehane's 2004 novel, the '50s tale focuses on a pair of U.S. marshals who go to an island off the coast of Massachusetts to investigate the disappearance of a woman from a hospital for the criminally insane. Their work becomes more difficult when a hurricane leaves them trapped among the inmates.
Kingsley will play the hospital's chief physician, Dr. Cawley, in the Paramount production.
Shooting will begin in March from a script by Laeta Kalogridis.

Kingsley will appear opposite Mike Myers in

Kingsley won his Oscar for
