Rush road tour will play Philly

NEW YORK - After finishing 2007 with the No. 25 top-grossing tour of the year, Rush will return to the road for a 40-plus-date outing next April in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

NEW YORK - After finishing 2007 with the No. 25 top-grossing tour of the year, Rush will return to the road for a 40-plus-date outing next April in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The Canadian rock trio will make rare visits to such locales as Austin, Texas; Orlando, Fla.; New Orleans; Jacksonville, Fla.; and Winnipeg, Manitoba, and will play new venues in Chicago; Detroit; Philadelphia and Seattle. The full itinerary will be unveiled next month.

This year's tour in support of the album "Snakes & Arrows" grossed $29.7 million and drew more than 517,000 fans to 48 shows reported to Billboard Boxscore.

Rush recently scored a Grammy nomination in the best rock instrumental performance for the "Snakes & Arrows" track "Malignant Narcissism." *
