Forty-five years after her death, screen legend
Marilyn Monroe
continues to make news. First up, Las Vegas resident
Lawrence Nicastro
today plans to unveil a rare photo of the screen siren posing as a nude hitchhiker.
Nicastro said he ran a service station in the Bronx in '62 when a man dropped off a convertible for repairs. When the guy never returned, Nicastro put the contents of the car in storage. He said he found the picture last year when he was going through all that junk.
Meanwhile, our generation's greatest actress,
I Know Who Killed Me
star
Lindsay Lohan
, appears nude on the cover of New York mag made up to look like Monroe. The pic, which was taken by
Bert Stern
, re-creates a famous '62 photo Stern took of Monroe. Asked about the nudity, LiLo said, "I was comfortable with it."
LiLo threw light upon the Truth by comparing Monroe's death with
Heath Ledger
's: "They are both prime examples of what this industry can do to someone." Call her Blue
Doylestown's first daughter,
Pink
(
Alecia Moore
), and her husband, motocross racer
Carey Hart
, have agreed to call it quits after two years of marriage. (That's equivalent to 12 years of wedded bliss in normal-people time.)
"This decision was made by best friends with a huge amount of love and respect for one another," Pink's rep yesterday said. "While the marriage is over, their friendship has never been stronger."
Carey, who often sports a (very silly looking) little soul patch, met Pink at the 2001 X Games in Vegas. The couple wed Jan. 7, 2006, in Costa Rica.
BritneyWatch: Bits & pieces
A complex day in BritneyLand yesterday, which had the major players face off in court before Superior Court Commissioner
Scott Gordon
to sort out the ongoing custody dispute between
Britney Spears
and
Kevin Federline
.
Here are some highlights from the day:
Gordon denied a request by Brit's people to issue a gag order in the case. Gordon disputed Brit's attorney's claim that media coverage was "emotionally and physically" dangerous to Spears.
TMZ says lawyers on both sides agree in spirit that Brit, who has not seen her sons
Sean Preston
, 2, and
Jayden James
, 1, for six weeks, should have visitation rights. But they could not reach a concrete agreement on all the details. They'll try again today.

Pow! Martha buys Emeril out
Ex-con
Martha Stewart
's corporate juggernaut, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc., has kicked it up another notch, as it were, by buying the rights to the
Emeril Lagasse
franchise of cookbooks, television shows and kitchen products. And she got it for a song: $45 mil in cash and $5 mil in stock at closing. Don't worry, Emeril will still feed you: Martha did not buy Emeril's 11 restaurants. And Emeril will continue to host his cooking shows on the Food Network.
Sean finally weds
British actor
Sean Bean
(
Lord of the Rings
), who last month called off his wedding to
Georgina Sutcliffe
just 24 hours before the ceremony, made up for it yesterday by finally marrying the 29-year-old actress at a low-key ceremony in London attended by 15 guests.
Bean, 48, who has already worked through three previous wives, has three daughters,
Lorna
20,
Molly
17 and

Knee-deep in beauty
Panic in the streets of London following a report by Brit tabloid the Daily Mail that on a recent night out,
Kate Moss
"revealed a pair of unsightly knobbly knees." Such knees, the Mail suggests, are "not often associated with a world-class beauty." Kate is not alone. The tab says
Angelina Jolie
and
Victoria Beckham
also have "severely bony knees on ultra-slim physiques." Time to open a U.K. chapter of KKA (Knobbly Knees Anonymous).
Hayden: Not creative enough
Hayden Christensen
tells Details mag that even though he thanks
George Lucas
for turbocharging his career by casting him in the
Star Wars
franchise, he's not very keen to do any more movies of that ilk. They are, after all, not art. "It wasn't necessarily anything you could feel good about creatively," he says of Lucas' films. "It's not why you become an actor, to do stuff like that."
