Brush up on vinegar-painting

Philadelphia decorative painter Bill Russell, whose amazing faux-painted furniture has been featured on HGTV, is conducting a workshop on the art of vinegar painting on Saturday at his Fishtown studio. The morning session (9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) will teach the basic techniques of vinegar-painting, a process that allows light to pass through colors. In the afternoon (1:30-5:30 p.m.) participants will design and paint two projects.
