(8-11 p.m., 6ABC) - A true story, an engaging performance by Dennis Quaid, and some gorgeous cinematography help this 2002 drama rise above the usual sports-flick cliches. Quaid plays Jim Morris, a high school baseball coach in his 30s who, on a bet with his players, goes out for the majors - a long-deferred dream.
(8-10 p.m., TCM) - Director Alfred Hitchcock broke all the rules and invented some powerful new ones in this 1960 masterpiece of terror about motel manager Norman Bates and his doting but demanding "mother." Anthony Perkins, Janet Leigh, Vera Miles, John Gavin and Martin Balsam star.
