Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti: As the name suggests, this guy makes strange music, nodding stylistically to '70s glam rock but with a DIY, one-man-and-his-machines ethic that updates the sound. M Room, 15 W. Girard Ave., 9 tonight, $10, 215-739-5577, www.themanhattanrom.com.
Sevendust: Popular metal band veers between strong melody lines and howling screamcore. Also on the bill, Nonpint and Solidium. TLA, 334 South St., 9 tonight, $25, 215-922-1011, www.livenation.com.
Download Festival: Music and technology merge at this music festival, with opportunities to try out gadgets and Internet services between your favorite artists' sets. Pumped up Vegas dudes the Killers co-headline alongside a legendary gonzo-punk band that's influenced many, the resuscitated Iggy Pop and the Stooges. Also of note, Philly's own Man Man, Ghostland Observatory, Mutemouth, Louis XIV, Color Revolt, Sia, the Whigs and our newest fave from across the pond, Enemy UK. Susquehanna Bank Center, Camden, 2 p.m. tomorrow, $23.50 (each, in four-pack purchase) to $95, 215-336-2000, www.livenation.com.
Apples in Stereo: Crisp, juicy pop-rock group fronted by Robert Schneider is always in season. Mike Gordon: One of the principals of the late, lamented Phish comes through to showcase kindred material from his solo album "Green Sparrow," out next week (his first in five years). Duffy: Calm and collected on stage, the latest blue-eyed-soul export from Britain (last name Duffy, first name Aimee), won't dose you bad like Amy Winehouse. Instead, she'll win you over with best-of-the-bunch pipes (which won her second prize on Wales' equivalent to "American Idol") and with the neo-classic, Motown/Sam Cooke-flavored material that's won an international following for her "Rockferry" album. TLA, 334 South St., 8 p.m. Wednesday, $22.50 (in 4 pack), $30 & $32, 215-922-1011, www.livenation.com.
