During its first season, "HawthoRNe" is averaging 3.8 million viewers, a 69 percent improvement in the time slot.
Beating the clock
Mitch McCabe, the daughter of a plastic surgeon, examines the extremes people take to hang onto the appearance of youth in the HBO documentary "Youth Knows No Pain," airing Aug. 31. McCabe spent two years traveling the country to visit doctors, experts and anti-aging enthusiasts, interviewing hundreds of men and women ranging in age from 18 to 93.
Interwoven with the stories of others are McCabe's reflections on her own life and on her father, whose life was cut tragically short in a car accident.
'Trauma' doc cast
Mike Vogel has landed a lead role on CBS' new medical drama "Miami Trauma." "Trauma" is about a team of trauma surgeons in Miami. Vogel will play one of the doctors, a talented, charming and fiercely competitive surgeon with a healthy ego.
Vogel has been in high demand following his performance in ABC's "Romeo and Juliet"-esque drama pilot "Empire State" this past season in which he played the male lead.
Vogel next appears in the feature film "She's Out of My League."
