* Grey Lodge Pub (6235 Frankford Ave., 215-825-5357) is holding 13 events in as many hours Saturday to celebrate its 13th anniversary as the Grey Lodge (the bar itself opened in 1950), including a book signing with Carolyn Wyman, author of "The Great Philly Cheesesteak Book" (Running Press, $15.95), from 1-2 p.m.

* Grab a brush and a wine glass and paint a little history, noon-5 p.m. Saturday, at the Market & Shops at Comcast Center's Art, Wine & Food Festival (1701 John F. Kennedy Blvd.). Crossing Vineyards of Bucks County will pair its wines with Market goodies. Local artists will display and sell work. And the Mural Arts Program's "This We Believe" invites you to help create a new public mural. Tasting $10; other events free.
* Some futurists say we'll all be eating bugs one day - it's called entomophagy - as humankind struggles to feed itself. See what's ahead during Bug Fest at the Academy of Natural Sciences (1900 Benjamin Franklin Parkway), 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Cajun chef Zack Lemann, of the Audubon Insectarium in New Orleans, will show off bugs' tastier attributes at 12:30 p.m. both days. Free with museum admission.
* Sample good food from area chefs and help fight childhood hunger as Taste of the Nation returns to Loews Hotel (1200 Market St., 215-627-1200), 6-9 p.m. Monday. Restaurants such as Chifa, Vetri, Osteria, Blackfish, the Capital Grille, Derek's, DiBruno Brothers, Fish, Fork, Kong, Modo Mio, Noble, Octo Waterfront Grill and Savona will participate. Plus, specialty drinks from APO Bar + Lounge, wine and beer. Feast with clear conscience; every dollar in your $75 ticket ($85 at the door)goes to the cause. There will be silent and live auctions, too. Local beneficiaries include Philabundance, Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger, the Food Trust, and the Pennsylvania Hunger Action Center. * You might not work in a restaurant, but you can enjoy the "Staff Meal" from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Thursdays at Xochitl (408 S. 2nd St., 215-238-7280). All dishes are $8 and under on the late-night lounge menu.
