How can he enjoy his fame and his hotyoungchick groupies if the world continues to persecute him? The latest demonic attack comes from TLC, which yesterday filed a breach-of-contract suit against the Wyomissing, Pa., native for trying to earn a sleazy fast buck by making paid TV appearances without the cabler's permission.
"The network has been trying privately and patiently for months to get Jon to honor the contract he signed and to comply with his obligations relating to public appearances," TLC said in a statement. "Those efforts have been unsuccessful."
The Los Angeles Times says the suit also alleges Jon hurt the show's reputation (ha!) "with his constant criticisms."
The cabler is anxious to wash Jon out of its hair, says People.com. Soon after the soulful link between the 32-year-old Jon and his wife, Kate, evaporated, the cable fired him as a full-time star and renamed the show Kate Plus 8.
No comment from Jon's peeps.
Leonard Cohen moved to Tower
That's one less end-of-the-Spectrum show to worry about. Leonard Cohen's Oct. 22 date has been moved from the hallowed old hall to the Tower Theater.
