'Kennedys,' warts and all?

The History Channel's ordered its first scripted miniseries, and it's about the Kennedy family. "The Kennedys," an eight-hour series from "24" co-creator Joel Surnow, is scheduled for 2011. Those expecting a whitewash of the Massachusetts clan may want to keep in mind Surnow's friendship with conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh.

"House" star Hugh Laurie, who'll direct his first episode of the Fox hit this season, released this Laurie-like statement: Five episodes of "Defying Gravity" ABC hasn't aired are on the "Season One" DVD that goes on sale Jan. 19.

NBC's "Parenthood," whose premiere was pushed back after Maura Tierney dropped out for health reasons, will premiere March 1, NBC said yesterday.
