Jeff Dunham scored the most-watched series premiere in Comedy Central history, but "The Jeff Dunham Show" won't return for a second season.

Following Dunham's record-breaking October debut that drew 5.3 million viewers, the puppet master's audience dropped 55 percent for episode two. His December episodes drew between 1.3 million and 1.8 million viewers.

Rock rolls

Standup super-spoofer Chris Rock's latest Comedy Central special, "Chris Rock: Kill the Messenger," premieres Jan. 10. The special was filmed at venues as diverse as New York, London and Johannesburg, South Africa.

Amish tragedy to Lifetime

Kimberly Williams-Paisley, the radiant ingenue in "Father of the Bride," will star in a new movie for Lifetime about the tragic shooting of Amish schoolgirls in Pennsylvania by a gunman who also shot himself. Williams-Paisley plays the mother of one of the dead girls in the film called "Amish Grace."

Family on the move

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, parents of the clan who star in TLC's "18 Kids and Counting," have relocated the family temporarily to Little Rock, Ark., to be near their 19th child, Josie. The baby was born prematurely on Dec. 10, weighing less than 2 pounds and remains in intensive care after an emergency delivery months before her due date.
