West Oak Lane Jazz and Arts Festival: The details

The 7th annual West Oak Lane Jazz and Arts Festival takes place Friday through Sunday beginning at 9 a.m. each day, on the 7100-7400 blocks of Ogontz Avenue. Admission is free, with ticketed events at Relish Restaurant (7152 Ogontz Ave.). The Mardi Gras parade begins at the West Oak Lane Senior Center, 7210-18 Ogontz Ave., at 10 a.m. Friday and continues to the main stage at Ogontz and Middleton avenues. An extensive food court and craft marketplace spans the blocks between the festival stages.

Street parking is hard to come by around the festival grounds, but free shuttles run every 30 minutes to one hour from seven locations:

Arcadia University, Home Depot at Cheltenham Mall, DeVry University, Fern Rock Transportation Center, Martin Luther King High School, the GSB Building on City Avenue, and the Independence Visitor Center, 6th and Market streets.
