The King's Speech Engaging and true saga of the stuttering king (Colin Firth as George VI) and the jester (Geoffrey Rush as Lionel Logue) who helped the monarch overcome his speech pathology. Great performances, great story, and a wry supporting turn by Helena Bonham Carter as Queen Elizabeth. R

True Grit Grizzled Jeff Bridges and dewy Hailee Steinfeld are moving in the Coen Brothers' unvarnished adaptation of Charles Portis' novel about the 14-year-old who hires Marshal Rooster Cogburn to help her avenge the death of her father. PG-13
