A THIRD OF THE flock got together on an Atlantic City stage Saturday for a mini-Partridge Family reunion. David Cassidy and 94 WYSP's DJ Danny Bonaduce made music together for only the second time in 40 years.
Although Bonaduce played Cassidy's younger brother on the '70s TV hit, he lip-synched and only pretended to play the bass guitar on the show. But Saturday night was the real deal. After he did a standup comedy routine to open Cassidy's show at Resorts Casino Hotel, Cassidy got him to play "Doesn't Somebody Want To Be Wanted," a song he learned when the two played it together last October in Philly.
The List
Soccer star David Beckham will be there with his pop-star wife Victoria. Elton John is attending with partner David Furnish. And the Venerable Bogoda Seelawimala will be there, too, probably one of the few guests at the wedding of the year wearing orange and burgundy Buddhist robes.
The guest list for the April 29 union of Prince William and Kate Middleton is still being kept secret, but details have begun to leak out, with some coming forward to say they are attending and the Mail on Sunday newspaper claiming to have the official invitation roster.
The Mail's list describes an eclectic mix - from fabulously wealthy friends of Prince Charles to a favored bartender and a yoga instructor from the Caribbean island of Mustique, long a hideaway for royals and rockers alike.
William and Middleton have showed their modern side by inviting a number of close friends, including some former sweethearts, the newspaper said.
The Box Office
The good news for Russell Brand is that his animated comedy "Hop" remains the top movie for the second-straight weekend, grossing $21.7 million.
The bad news is that his new live-action comedy "Arthur" could not jump so high.
The Warner Bros. remake of Dudley Moore's 1981 romance about a rich, drunken man-child finally learning to grow up, "Arthur" was a distant second with a modest debut of $12.6 million, according to studio estimates. With a solid second weekend, Brand's Easter bunny tale "Hop" raised its 10-day total to $68.2 million. With Easter two weeks away, the Universal release can be expected to keep reproducing . . . like rabbits.
The Auction
The bling event of the century is coming to Christie's auction house, where Elizabeth Taylor's jewelry collection, as well as some of her art, clothing and other memorabilia, will be sold.
Taylor, who died last month at age 79, published a book in 2003 titled, "Elizabeth Taylor: My Love Affair with Jewelry," and her collection has included some of the world's most expensive stones.
The Gift
It was "Extreme Makeover: Madea Edition" on Friday when movie mogul Tyler Perry delivered on a Christmas promise by handing the keys of a new four-bedroom house to an 88-year-old woman who lost her rural Georgia home to a fire.
Rosa Lee Ransby and her seven grand- and great-grandchildren lost their home in Newman, Ga., a week before Christmas.
Perry saw the story on a local television newscast and decided to rebuild the house. He also fully furnished it.He says the main thing was getting her enough space for the children and for them to have room to play.
