IS BRADLEY COOPER the "Sexiest Man Alive"? We hear People magazine is about to shoot the Rydal-raised Germantown Academy grad for its "Sexiest Man Alive" issue.

Whether he is the sexiest man alive, or just a runner-up remains to be seen, but the actor, here shooting "The Silver Linings Playbook" certainly appears to be a contender. People says it can neither confirm nor deny any participants until the issue is out Nov. 18. Cooper's publicist says he has a photo shoot in town this weekend, but it's for another publication to promote the DVD release of "The Hangover 2."

Twitter fake

Wynnefield-native filmmaker Lee Daniels has a Twitter impostor. We spoke briefly yesterday with Daniels, who was nominated for an Academy Award for "Precious" and who was in a New York editing suite, not in Center City Philadelphia, where his Twitter impostor, @RealLenDaniels, claimed to be meeting with Kanye West and Jay-Z, here to perform at the Wells Fargo Center. Daniels has asked his attorney to look into having the fake Twitter account shut down.

Hart break

North Philly-raised comedian/actor Kevin Hart took to Twitter yesterday to confirm his divorce from wife Torrei. The couple, married more than eight years, separated earlier this year. The comedian cited "irreconcilable differences" as the cause. Hart was seen on last night's "Modern Family" and will also appear on the next few episodes of the ABC hit.

Haley tribute

Bill Haley Jr. and the Comets have been gigging in the area.

The group, formed by the son of late "Rock Around the Clock" singer Bill Haley, who lived in Boothwyn, performs a rock 'n' roll-history show featuring his father's hits and other music from the 1950s. The Pottstown-based group features Haley on guitar and vocals, with musicians Mike Denaro, Bobby Michaels, Rich Flamini, and Christopher Davis-Shannon. Haley intersperses his father's hits, which also include "Shake, Rattle, and Roll," and "See You Later, Alligator," with anecdotes about the group.

Haley told us that he grew up playing music as a hobby but that after a video surfaced on YouTube of him and some friends playing "Rock Around the Clock," he was contacted by a manager and put his band together. Haley expects them to perform in Europe, South America and Central America, where people go crazy for the old rock sounds of the '50s and '60s. The Upper Merion High School graduate says he's been working on a book about his late father, who died in 1981. Haley's day job is publisher of a business-to-business magazine called Route 422 Business Advisor. For more info, visit billhaleyjrandthecomets.com.
