Sideshow: It's not easy being Mrs. Wolverine
How hot, how popular, how devastatingly handsome is that smoldering Wolverine, Hugh Jackman? So charismatic, says Hugh's remarkably lovely and fetching wife of 15 years, Deborra-Lee Furness, that crowds virtually trample her (for shame!) to get to her man.

So charismatic, says Hugh's remarkably lovely and fetching wife of 15 years, Deborra-Lee Furness, that crowds virtually trample her (for shame!) to get to her man.
The delightful D-Lee tells the New York Post's Page Six Magazine, Thursday edition, that she has "been almost pummeled" by Hughophiles clamoring to steal away a milligram of his essence. "Literally, they will push you out of the way," Furness says. "Hi, I'm chopped liver. How do you do?"
D-Lee, who at 56 is 13 years Hugh's senior, dismisses rumors that the couple's age difference has caused friction. "Hugh is much more mature than me," she says, "so we balance each other out."
Asked about reports that Wolverine prefers boys to girls, she says, "It's kind of tragic that these people have nothing better to do than gossip about people they don't know."
Anderson Cooper inspires baby names
Two men - two great, sexy, good-looking media giants - served this year as inspiration for countless baby names. They are CNN's Anderson Cooper and People's Sexiest Man Alive, Bradley Cooper, according to BabyCenter.com, which has compiled the top baby names of 2011. The name Anderson ("Son of Anders" in Scandinavian lands) this year skyrocketed in popularity, rising 100 rungs. But it still doesn't make the top 100. Cooper, however, has fared well, rising from near obscurity to No. 58. The top three names are Sophia, Emma, and Isabella for girls and Aiden, Jackson, and Mason for boys.
Mindy McCready's sad soap opera
Dogged by substance abuse problems and an arrest for using fake prescriptions, Mindy McCready, 36, now faces troubles of the maternal kind. First the good: The country singer tells the Associated Press she is pregnant with twins she made with a music producer she'll identify only as David
.
But her maternal instincts may land her in jail. Mindy's mother, Gayle Inge, has custody of the singer's 5-year-old son, Zander. (His pop, Mindy ex-bf Billy McKnight, was arrested in '05 and charged with attempted murder for choking Mindy.)
Saying she's not happy with her mum's treatment of Zander, Mindy on Tuesday took the boy from Inge's Florida home back to her own pad in Nashville. Authorities gave Mindy until 5 p.m. Thursday to return the child.
Now Mindy says she won't make the deadline because she can't fly due to her pregnancy.
Will Mindy, who insists her mum has abused Zander (Inge denies any wrongdoing), end up behind bars? It's like a soap opera, or a sad country ballad, on steroids.
Tidbits 'n' pieces
Newly married media darlings Katy Perry and Russell Brand have new tattoos. Katy's is a smiling peppermint (?) on her ankle, his the crest of his fave soccer club, West Ham United, on his arm. . . . Kris Humphries' people continue to leak word, this time via TMZ, that Kris feels totally victimized by Kim Kardashian and, like, totally thinks Kim used him "as a pawn" in her game to gain glory and fame.
ScarJo: I want Ryan back!
Us Weekly cites Anonymous Insider, who says Scarlett Johansson, 27, totally regrets divorcing Ryan Reynolds, especially now that she has seen him looking so hot on the arm of Gossip Girl's Blake Lively. The tragedy is that Ryan was desperate to patch things up with ScarJo - until he saw her rebounding earlier this year into Sean Penn's arms. Poor ScarJo! Now she doesn't even have Sean, who moved on months ago. So sad!
Of course, none of this is confirmed by a soul.
Woman sues Hulk Hogan's son
A woman named Marcela Posada is suing Hulk Hogan's son, Nick Hogan, for $25,000, claiming she suffered significant injuries when she and Nick collided in a 2009 freeway crash. TMZ says that when police showed up at the crash site two years ago, she reported no injuries. Perhaps it's a delayed reaction.

Hank Williams Jr.: No disrespect!
Hank Williams Jr. brought country music to its knees (well, not really) Wednesday when he walked off the stage in the middle of a duet with CMT honoree Jason Aldean during the taping of the CMT's annual Artists of the Year event. Shock waves were felt far and wide, as far away as the hip-hop world!
Did Hank and Jason have a falling-out? Au contraire! Hank on Thursday told Country Weekly he felt his performance didn't make the cut, and he didn't want to disrespect Jason.
