Picking a summer camp

Parents can get an early start on planning their children's summer fun on Sunday at the MetroKids Super Camp Fair 2012 at the Conshohocken Marriott.

The free fair, scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m., will feature more than 50 day and night camp exhibitors from the region and around the country including those with specialty programs in sports, arts, and music. Camp exhibitors will have interactive displays, and some will offer arts and crafts activities during the fair.

Some featured exhibitors include the Philadelphia 76ers camp; whale camp where kids can go on sailing adventures; the Handwork Studio, which offers an arts and fashion camp; and the French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts summer camp, which offers programs in dance, theater, music, film and video, circus magic, sports, and more. For children who enjoy the sciences, Science Camp Watonka will offer hands-on laboratory experiences including astronomy, biology, and chemistry this summer.
