Because of this, Keisha would like to attend college and then pursue a career as a nurse. She enjoys reading and listening to music.

If Keisha could have three wishes, they would be to have a mentor who would help her apply to, and succeed in, nursing school, to have a laptop computer, and to own a car. More immediate goals include overcoming her shyness and learning to style her hair.

Keisha does very well in school and her report cards are filled with A's and B's. English and science are her favorite subjects. She is enrolled in kickboxing classes, which she feels improve her social skills and help her make new friends.

Keisha would thrive with an adoptive family that is supportive, kind, patient, and loving. The family could be two-parent or just a mom. It would be best if she is the oldest child. She is close to her older sister and niece and the relationships should be maintained.

Keisha and others are available for adoption by approved applicants. For a free information packet contact the National Adoption Center, 1500 Walnut St., Suite 701, Philadelphia 19102. Call 215-735-9988, or visit the website at www.adopt.org
