Three Wiggles say farewell at Tower
Three are retiring after 20 years, one carries on with new cohorts.

Three of the original members of the Wiggles perform together Saturday for the last time in Philadelphia when their Celebration Tour, marking 20 years of entertaining and educating children, stops at the Tower Theatre.
The group from Australia, also known as the Fab Four of the toddler set, will sing songs from their new DVD and CD The Wiggles Big Birthday. Murray Cook (Red Wiggle), Greg Page (Yellow Wiggle), Jeff Fatt (Purple Wiggle), and founder Anthony Field (Blue Wiggle) will then pass the baton to the next generation of Wiggles, including Emma Watkins, the first female Wiggle, Lachlan Gillespie, and Simon Pryce. They will join Field, who is continuing. Performances are at 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Mess Fest at Franklin Institute
The Mess Fest 2012 at the Franklin Institute wraps up this weekend, offering slimy, gooey science demonstrations.
From noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the museum's Bartol Atrium and front steps, kids and adults can indulge in messy things such as watching 2,000 balls thrust into the air by ultra-cold liquid nitrogen and seeing what happens when a watermelon hits the ground after falling 42 feet. Kids can make a mega mess playing in bubbles spread by the Epic Soap Bubble Monster. The fest will also include chemical-reaction demonstrations and make-and-take activities for kids such as making their own slime and Alka-Seltzer rockets.
Brandywine Family Film Festival
Watch family-friendly and international children's films under the stars Friday through Sunday at the Brandywine Family Film Festival at the Delaware Museum of Natural History.
Each night the outdoor festival will begin with a short film at 7:30, followed by a feature film at 8. Feature films are the animated Azur & Asmar: The Princes' Quest on Friday night, Fuchsia the Mini Witch on Saturday, and French animated film Mia and the Migoo on Sunday. Bring your own blankets and chairs for seating, and, if you like, picnics. Vendors also will sell food.
