An active teen, achieving in school

Brittany is a charming 16-year-old with a delightful smile. She participates in a variety of activities including going for walks, riding her bike, swimming, sewing, playing video games, and attending church. Like other teenage girls, she also enjoys watching

movies and listening to Justin Bieber.

Diagnosed with high-functioning autism, Brittany is enrolled in a special educational program and does well. Math is her favorite subject. She is entering high school this fall and it is important to her to earn good grades. She begins her homework as soon as she gets home from school and conscientiously completes it without prompting.

In her foster placement she helps with the household chores. She is becoming more independent with daily living skills and is adjusting more easily to changes in plans or routines.

Brittany would benefit greatly from a permanent family that would provide hands-on supervision, structure, stability, and a loving home environment. The family will need to take part in her therapeutic services. It would be best if she is the youngest child in the family.
