You can still watch that way, but the service - which charges $7.99 a month for unlimited streaming from its library of TV shows and movies - is available on a variety of devices, from game systems to DVD players, that connect to your television, as well as on the iPhone and Windows phone and the iPad, Kindle Fire and Nook tablets.

STILL THINK of streaming Netflix as something you do on a computer?

Think again.

(A $4.99-a-month plan limits users to two hours of streaming a month and only on a computer.)

If you've shopped for a TV or Blu-ray player lately, chances are you've seen the Netflix logo on a remote, thanks to the growing number of devices that connect to the Internet.

Netflix, which reported this month that it's up to 27.2 million subscribers - one survey estimates its service is in a quarter of the homes in the U.S. - is investing billions to acquire more content.
