MR. HOCKEY: THE GORDIE HOWE STORY, 9 p.m. today, Hallmark Channel.

The story of the triumphant return of 45-year-old legend Gordie Howe (Michael Shanks) is more than a hockey movie.

It's also the story of "Mrs. Hockey," the late Colleen Howe (Kathleen Robertson). She was the wife, mother and hard-headed sports agent who struck the deal that allowed her husband to share the ice with their sons Marty and Mark (who'd go on, of course, to play for the Flyers).

It's better than most Hallmark Channel movies, but even people who remember Gordie Howe in his heyday may cringe at the '70s hair on display (and applaud whatever conservative streak kept Howe's neatly trimmed).

THE AMAZING RACE. 8 p.m. tomorrow, CBS 3.

The globe-trotting "reality" competition wraps up its 22nd cycle with a two-hour finale that includes something called "bog snorkeling" in Belfast, Ireland, and ends in Washington, D.C., where one pair will win $1 million.

VEEP. 10 p.m. tomorrow, HBO.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus won another term as Vice President Selina Meyer on Wednesday when HBO renewed "Veep" for a third season. Things may not be so bright for Selina, though, as the White House hurts her image yet again by releasing an unflattering photo. Meanwhile, Jonah (Timothy C. Simons), the White House liaison we all love to hate, scores a coveted parking space - and buys a car to put in it.
