Like it is The incomparable Jen Childs performs her solo comedy An Evening With Patsy: The View from My Stoop, in which the opinionated South Philly power broker from 1812 Productions' This Is The Week That Is talks politics and family - and dispenses advice to the audience. From the fringe What was the annual Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe is now FringeArts, presenting its second annual Jumpstart showcase featuring short works up to 15 minutes. On tap: Storyteller Ms. Wise performing A Denzel Theory, her story of growing up in Camden; performance artist Seth Lepore; Scott Sheppard's antic, autobiographical rural tale The Living History Project, performed by the Groundswell Players; the food-and-poetry epic Mounting, Etna, starring Jenna Horton; dancers Magda San Millan and Chelsea Murphy; and Marina Libel and Sarah Gladwin Camp in the theater piece The Supervisors. There and back In his first novel, The Yellow Birds, poet and Iraq War veteran Kevin Powers joins the line of great American chroniclers of war stretching from Stephen Crane to Norman Mailer to Tim O'Brien. The game's afoot In Steven Canny and John Nicholson's The Hound of the Baskervilles, a theater troupe trying to perform Arthur Conan Doyle's classic Sherlock Holmes thriller is derailed by cast arguments and negative Twitter commentary.
