Quick eateries for all

Past summers have seen AC casinos introduce high-end dining rooms. This year, the emphasis is on fast food and casual dining.

PAST SUMMERS have seen Atlantic City casinos introduce a number of high-end dining rooms: Atlantic Grill at Caesars, Dos Caminos at Harrah's, Robert's Steak House at Trump Taj Mahal, and the celeb-chef restaurats at Revel including Jose Garces' Amada and Marc Forgione's American Cut.

This year, the emphasis is on fast food and casual dining. The only big-time stove jockey with a new product is Garces, whose still-unnamed noodle-and-dim sum outlet will open (on a still-unnamed date) adjacent to Amada.

These are all debuting with lower-priced fare:

* AT REVEL, a 24-hour diner called Relish, with price points well below those of its predecessor, Michel Richard's Central.

* AT RESORTS, Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville Café and LandShark Bar & Grill will be joined by Haagen Dazs, Famiglia Pizzeria, Dunkin' Donuts, Ruby's Diner and Soup Man. All are located on the northern end of Resorts' casino floor, toward Pacific Avenue.

* AT TROPICANA, two Philly standbys - Chickie's & Pete's and Tony Luke's - are joining the lineup at the Havana-themed complex, The Quarter. Also new there are Broadway Burger Bar, Perry's Pizza, Casa Taco & Tequila Bar and Marketplace Express. All but Chickie's & Pete's - which has a mid-July target date - are expected to open by the end of June.
