Watch the tale of two young women who meet in the Land of Oz in the Broadway musical Wicked, at the Academy of Music through Aug. 4.
The audience will learn the story of the two who became the evil Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch of the North, both before and after Dorothy set foot in Munchkinland. It's an intriguing tale of two girls who meet in college - one born despised for her emerald green skin, the other her popular, beautiful roommate. How did these two lives entwine, separate, then reconnect?
Movie in the Park
Watch the Disney animated film Wreck-It Ralph under the stars Saturday night at Warwick Township's Movie in the Park series at Warwick Community Park.
Video-game character Ralph is unhappy with his role as the villain in the game Fix-It Felix Jr. and longs to be adored like the game's eponymous hero. So he sets out to become a hero in the hope that his peers will no longer see him as the bad guy.
He meets and develops a bond with Vanellope von Schweetz, a smart-talking character who is actually a computer glitch from a candy-coated racing-kart video game. Their journey to help each other reach their dreams shows Ralph the true meaning of being a good guy.
Storybook Celebration
Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m., enjoy fairytale-themed exhibits at the Camden Children's Garden Storybook Celebration Family Festival.
The day will feature book-related crafts and readings of classic children's stories. Kids can stop by the Giant's Garden and plant magic beans to take home.
The festival is part of the Garden's Second & Fourth Weekend Series.
