Celebrate autumn with fun activities

Celebrate the new season at Morris Arboretum's Fall Festival Weekend from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The festival will have scarecrow-making and pumpkin-painting. From noon to 3, guests can meet visiting animals of the Elmwood Park Zoo. The ColonialLUG (LEGO User Group) will help children build a pumpkin. On Sunday at 10:30 a.m., there will be a Radio Disney performance.

Family Arts Festival at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts

The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts will hold its Family Arts Festival on Sunday at Lenfest Plaza.

Activities include performances by Trinidelphia Jazz Quartet and Creative Arts Morgan Village Academy's Choral Group, a family scavenger hunt inside the museum, art-making stations, board and balloon games, face painting, live animal drawings, and more.

The festival, funded in part by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Lindback Foundation, runs from noon to 5 p.m.

"Peter and the Wolf" and The Independence School

On Sunday at the Independence School, enjoy a classic tale by Sergio Prokofiev during "Peter and The Wolf" presented by the Newark Symphony Orchestra and the Delaware Dance Company.

The fifth annual free family concert will feature presentations by Jesu Strings, orchestra director Kathleen Hastings, and the Music School of Delaware. There will also be an instrument petting zoo, dance demonstrations, and a raffle.
