 MOLLY EICHEL ALLUDED TO it yesterday, and now it's official.

The Kardashian/Jenner TV empire has ended another marriage.

The Los Angeles Times says Kris Jenner, 57, and Bruce Jenner, 63, have reportedly separated after 22 years of marriage and have kept the news quiet for almost a year.

So with all that "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," we haven't been keeping up at all.

The whole last season was a sham. If we'd put any time into watching the show, we would want that time back.

With interest.

So that episode in which Bruce wants a gun in the house to protect his family? Was it to protect another family?

"We are living separately and we are much happier this way," the Jenners told E! News in a statement.

"But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our No. 1 priority."

Blahbity, blahbity, blah.

TMZ.com reports that no divorce lawyers have gotten their hourly claws on the family fortune yet and that none may enter the picture ever - or at least until the show ends.

Why welcome another talking head onto the gravy train?

Divorce lawyers probably will enter the fray when Khloe and Lamar pack it in.

The show has already seen Kim and her basketball player divorce. And Kourtney's always fighting with Scott.

Let's face it, there's more bickering, drama and infighting in that family than there is in our newspaper's ownership group.

* CBS's "We Are Men"? They are canceled.

* The members of Aerosmith are fans of Uruguayan leader Jose Mujica, the colorful former guerrilla dubbed "the world's poorest president."

But the 78-year-old Mujica can't say the same, admitting after meeting the group that he hadn't heard any of their songs.

Aerosmith met with Mujica on Tuesday, before they performed in Montevideo, as part of a Latin American tour.

"We believe in what he says," lead singer Steven Tyler said of Mujica. "Your president fights for freedom, and we also fight for freedom through music."

Ah, so "Janie's Got a Gun" is about freedom to carry, "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)" is about freedom to be who you are and "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" is about freedom to use a nuclear device to blow up an asteroid targeting Earth.

* According to In Touch, fashion guy Tim Gunn wants to "bitch slap" Miley Cyrus for her recent fashion choices.

Tim's not really Miley's type, but she'd probably be into it.

* Meanwhile, Sir Paul McCartney performed for high-school students in NYC yesterday, and they knew who he was.

McCartney celebrated his second wedding anniversary with his wife, Nancy Shevell, and a few hundred high-school students at the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, which was opened by Tony Bennett in 2001.

McCartney's new CD, "New," drops next week.

The crowd, which included Bennett and some other adults, was into it as McCartney performed a 13-song set from his Beatles, Wings and solo catalog, including "Hey Jude," "Eight Days a Week" and "Jet."

"This beats going to class," he said.

Seeing Paul McCartney perform his hits in an intimate setting beats a lot of things.

* The three adult children of radio host Casey Kasem have filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court to gain control over his health care.

See, GOP, it's not just Obama.

They say he is suffering from advanced Parkinson's disease and is being isolated from his children, friends and family members by his wife, Jean.

The petition for conservatorship brought a long-running family feud into the courts. The applicants, Julie, Kerri and Mike Kasem, contend that Jean refuses to tell them the name of their father's primary-care physician, and they are unable to check on his condition.

Julie, who has a master's degree in medicine, and her husband, Dr. Jamil Aboulhosn, presented papers signed by her father in 2007 giving them power of attorney over his health care.

* The Jonas Brothers have canceled their upcoming tour over creative differences.

Brothers Joe, Kevin and Nick were scheduled to begin their 19-date tour Friday at the Tower Theater in Upper Darby, but spokesman Jesse Derris confirmed the cancellation and said fans can get a refund at the point of purchase. Opening act was singer/songwriter Bonnie McKee.

* "Nashville" star Hayden Panettiere has confirmed her engagement to Olympic boxer Wladimir Klitschko.

Appearing on yesterday's "Live with Kelly and Michael," the 24-year-old actress was flashing a large diamond ring. She said that she and longtime boyfriend Klitschko haven't set a wedding date.

* Michael Jackson's estate didn't have too much luck suing concert promoter AEG.

Maybe it'll do better with Japan.

A suit filed in Tokyo does not seek money, but demands that Ryosuke Matsuura and three companies (Michael Jackson Asian Rights, Michael Jackson Enterprises and Michael Jackson World), stop using the name and likeness of the late pop star on key chains, mugs and other products without permission

The estate said it wants to protect its legitimate partners and preserve Jackson's legacy.

And by preserving that legacy they mean that if you're going to use Michael's picture on a key chain, you better be paying us.

Otherwise, you're just a . . . smooth criminal.
