For this 15-year-old, fishing is a way to relax and cope, as well as to have fun. One of his favorite television shows is River Monsters. Someday, he says, he might also like to open a reptile store.
Elvis enjoys being involved in activities in his community, including the basketball and baseball programs. He joined his local Boy Scout team in the fall and looks forward to its monthly camping trip. He also sings in his church children's choir.
Outgoing and fun-loving, Elvis likes to joke around. He gets along well with adults and is excited about meeting new people. He is comfortable talking about what is going on in his life. Enrolled in 10th grade, he receives special-education services, and benefits from individual attention.
Therapy is helping Elvis deal with issues arising from his chaotic early life. He needs a patient, loving family willing to engage in a variety of support services and provide a structured environment. He should be the youngest child in the family.
