Celebrate Pippi Longstocking and all things Swedish Sunday as the American Swedish Museum marks Waffle Day and debuts its interactive exhibition "Do You Know Pippi Longstocking?"

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. indulge in fresh waffles, coffee and beverages while learning the history of the Waffle Day holiday.

Starting at 2, guests can experience the exhibition about the children's book character Pippi Longstocking, subject of beloved stories by Astrid Lindgren. Make Pippi masks and socks, do some pretend cooking, smell the spices in Pippi's kitchen, or search through Pippi's dresser and see what fun things you can find.

Waffle Day and "Do You Know Pippi Longstocking?", beginning 11 a.m. Sunday at American Swedish Museum, 1900 Patterson Ave. Waffle Day, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Pippi Longstocking exhibition, 2 to 4 p.m. Waffle Day is $10, $6 ages 2 to 12, free under 2; includes waffles and a beverage, general and exhibition admission. Exhibition only includes general admission: $8, $6 seniors and students, $4 ages 5-11; 4 and under free.

'Five Minute Follies' at the Adrienne

Experience The Five Minute Follies featuring the Combs Family Magic Show, a tribute to the golden age of variety, at the Playground at the Adrienne in Center City.

Jim Combs and his tricky kids, Cecilia, 10, and Peter, 8, costar, performing magic and illusion. The show will also feature comic Craig Liggeons from WMMR-FM (93.3), New Orleans blues harmonica player James Day, sketch comedian Sara Prendergast, tap dancer Alexis Musani, and singer Sarah Braverman. The show is for all ages.

Family Concert: Pinocchio and Cartoon Classics at the Kimmel

On Saturday morning, the Philadelphia Orchestra brings animated classics to life with its Pinocchio and Cartoon Classics concert.

Associate conductor Cristian Macelaru directs as the orchestra performs Rossini's famous overtures to William Tell and The Barber of Seville. Then Charlotte Blake Alston narrates Michael Gandolfi's musical story about the puppet Pinocchio, who wants to be a real boy. The show will include images of artwork created by the audience.
