American Idol legend Clay Aiken has made a nice debut in politics, so why shouldn't Angelina Jolie enter the game? Aiken just won a Democratic congressional primary in North Carolina. But don't expect Jolie to throw her hat in the ring.

Angelina Jolie for president!

American Idol legend Clay Aiken has made a nice debut in politics, so why shouldn't Angelina Jolie enter the game? Aiken just won a Democratic congressional primary in North Carolina. But don't expect Jolie to throw her hat in the ring.

"You know, if I thought I'd be effective, I would," Jolie, 38, on Wednesday told Good Morning America. "But I'm not sure if I would ever be taken seriously in that way, and be able to be effective."Jolie is promoting Maleficent, which opens May 30.

Jolie on motherhood

Jolie, who is raising six kids with Brad Pitt, says she's mortified when she hears other rich celebs complain that theirs is a hard life. (Recently, Gwyneth Paltrow said being a mom was far more difficult for her than for normal 9-to-5 moms.) "I actually feel that women in my position, when we have all at our disposal to help us, shouldn't complain," Jolie tells the New York Daily News. "Consider all the people who really struggle and don't have the financial means."

Crews' X-rated addiction

Actor and former NFL-er Terry Crews, who did some time with the Eagles, has confessed that he suffers from a debilitating addiction: pornography.

"I was addicted to pornography since I was 12 years old," Crews (Draft Day, The Expendables 3) tells Wendy Williams on her talk show. "My father was addicted to alcohol and my mother was addicted to religion. So what happens is you had an addictive household, OK?"

Crews, 45, for years kept his problem a secret from his wife, Rebecca. He says he's awed by the female form.

"You don't know how powerful you [women] are," he said. "Men get addicted to looking at pictures of you. That's how powerful a woman is." Hmm, maybe Crews could profit from a women's studies course on power and gender relations.
