Amanda Bynes' drug of choice? It changes daily

Also in Tattle: Bieber and Jenner sip bubbly, the biggest Harry Potter fan, Rosie and Whoopi fight.

EVERY TIME TV news jumps on a fast-breaking story, you need to remember one thing: The first reports are almost always wrong.

This never was a problem in entertainment reporting because no one cared if they were a few minutes late with a celebrity story. Now it's a problem.

Yesterday, following the DUI arrest of Amanda Bynes, the first reports said sources were claiming she was high on weed.

Now it turns out she may have been high on Adderall or some other prescribed drug.

Also, Amanda could face jail time if a judge revokes her probation after her arrest, sources told the Los Angeles Times.

Amanda, 28, was still on probation at the time of this driving mishap for striking an L.A. sheriff's cruiser while DUI-ing in April 2012. She was able to avoid jail time then after she agreed to serve probation and attend alcohol-education classes.

Now, authorities likely will try to get her probation revoked.

Today's source familiar with the investigation, but not authorized to discuss it (which is why they're discussing it), told the L.A. Times that at least one of the drugs involved is likely a prescribed medication, but under the law even those drugs cannot be used to a level that impairs a person's driving.

Actually, it can be used to that level, just as long as you're not actually driving. If you're sitting at home listening to old Pink Floyd albums, you can get as blitzed as you want.

* As for Amanda's parents, TMZ.com says that they heard about their daughter's arrest from the media, are not the people who bailed her out and have no idea where she is or what she's been doing since her conservatorship ended.

TATTBITS

* TMZ.com reports that Justin Bieber and Kendall Jenner giggled over a champagne dinner in Paris last night.

Big whoop, right?

Here's what makes it BIG.

Justin had breakfast that morning with Selena Gomez, and Selena is not a fan of the younger Jenner-ation.

But Bieber, who's never been accused of being sensitive to the desires of his on-again, off-again girlfriend, picked Kendall up at her hotel in a Rolls and drove her alone to the popular Ferdi restaurant.

Kendall was in Paris for a Chanel fashion show.

* CNET.com reports that the Tetris Co. will team with Threshold Entertainment to turn the popular falling-blocks video game into a movie.

Yeah, we didn't believe it either.

Menahem Asher Silva Vargas, of Mexico City, has the world's largest collection of "Harry Potter" memorabilia.

Silva Vargas spent nearly 15 years hoarding all things Potter. His collection fills two rooms and counts everything from magic wands and toy figurines to Gryffindor scarves and replica Quidditch brooms.

Guinness World Records officially recognized the collection Monday as the world's No. 1, at 3,097 pieces. The old mark was 807.

Crushed it.

Silva Vargas said he began with no intent to amass a huge collection. But soon it was like being under a spell.

He laughingly called his obsession both a blessing and a curse: "My salary, my bonuses . . . it all ended up here."

Silva Vargas, by the way, is a 37-year-old lawyer. Sounds like quite a catch.

* Speaking of catches, George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin have sold their wedding pics to People magazine in the U.S. and Hello! magazine in Europe.

It was all about the Benjamins.

TMZ.com reports that the money will go to several human-rights charities and not to help pay the estimated $13 million wedding bill. TMZ says the bulk of the money will go to the Satellite Sentinel Project, a group that Clooney co-founded that monitors the Sudan for war crimes.

* The New York Daily News reports that Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell got into a shouting match on the set of "The View," in front of the studio audience, after Whoopi cut Rosie off during Hot Topics, to go to commercial.

So we might save trees, you may want to clip this item and bring it out from time to time.

* Retired IGM publisher Bob Hall is going to have a new place to eat in Jupiter, Fla.

In early 2015, Tiger Woods is opening The Woods Jupiter: Sports and Dining Club, at the Harbourside Place.

Mirroring his most recent erratic golf swing, Woods' restaurant will hook its own fish and slice its own meat.
