Could Philly be the site of another 'Real Housewives'-style show?

Also: Dick Morris leaves WPHT, and Usher is still hanging in Philly.

It looks as if reality-show producers are doubling down on Philly.

My colleague Jenice Armstrong recently reported that "Real Housewives of Atlanta" producer Princess Anne Banton-Lofters has been checking out Philly's prominent women for a possible "Real Housewives of Philadelphia" spin-off.

But I hear she's not the only reality producer sniffing around socialites. Reality-based production company Wilshire Studios, a division of NBCUniversal, which owns channels like E! and Bravo, is also interested. Judging by Wilshire Studio's slate, which includes E! shows "Fashion Police," "The Soup" and "True Hollywood Stories," it's E! that wants in on the Philly flavor. I hear they want ladies to sign a contract ASAP.

Requests for comment from Wilshire Studios were not returned.

So, who is a potential cast member? While all ladies denied any involvement or did not return a request for comment, my sources say Sabrina Tamburino Thorne, Jill Rizen, Erin Elmore, Alisa Frederico and Megan Heaton are some names in the running for the potential show.

"It's like monkey-see, monkey-do in this business," my source said about the copy-cat production companies. "Once one person is interested, everyone else gets excited, too."

Morris leaves WPHT

Conservative talker Dick Morris announced yesterday that he is leaving Talk Radio 1210 WPHT. He said he wanted to campaign for Republican candidates in 2016. Morris was hired by the station in March 2013. He will stay on through this year's election.

CBS Radio Philadelphia Senior Vice President and Market Manager Marc Rayfield said he had known about Morris' timeline for awhile.

"He has done a great job for WPHT and we knew his busy schedule might one day make doing a daily radio show difficult," he said, via email.

When he began the show, Morris told me he would split his time between Philadelphia and his home in Florida.

Rayfield said that the station will make an announcement about Morris' replacement as soon as next week.

Rumor has it that Walter Sabo, CEO of the radio consultation firm Sabo Media, has been hanging around WPHT lately. Could that mean that Big Talker is looking to try something new?

"WPHT will remain a locally driven talk-radio station," Rayfield said. "As for Walter, I am not aware that he has been around the station and will not be a replacement for Dick."

A report from trade magazine Inside Radio reported that Sabo hosted a show recently on WPHT under the name Walter Sterling.

Dice Raw hits the stage

Dice Raw, a member of the Roots crew, will debut his new musical, "The Last Jimmy," tomorrow and Saturday at the Freedom Theatre.

"The Last Jimmy" is based on Dice's concept album "Jimmy's Back," illuminating issues surrounding the mass incarceration of African-Americans. "They call it a hip-hop musical for a lack of a better word, but it's really a protest piece against privatized prisons," Raw said about the piece, which not only uses his music but also moves from world renowned choreographer Rennie Harris.

Raw has been interested in the "black male prison epidemic" for some time, attracted by Dr. Michelle Alexander's New York Times best-seller The New Jim Crow.

"I never even realized it was a problem because of the way I've been geared to look at [mass incarceration]," Raw said. "Going to jail is the inevitable for black males in America. I was hanging out with some women from Ethiopia and I said, 'My buddy is locked up.' They were like, 'Let's go get him!' They were so baffled that we were taking it so lightly. This isn't a lifestyle that we should have to heed. We're supposed to dictate life's terms, life is not supposed to dictate terms to us."
