Q: Kimberly, have you heard about this new pill that is supposed to swell in your stomach and suppress your appetite? Does it really work? I was thinking about trying it.

A: Honestly, I don't know I have an answer for you about that pill, but I'd be suspicious. When it comes to "miracle" diet products, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

It might work - or have a placebo effect. Then again, it could do more harm than good. I wouldn't chance it or waste my money.

For a simple weight-loss method, try eating a quarter less food at every meal for a few weeks and see how that works for you.
