ANTHONY GARGANO  has left SportsRadio WIP after a rumored lowball contract offer.

This weekend, Gargano tweeted: "Thanks to WIP and all of the Philadelphia fans for 15 great years! On to the next chapter. #stillbelieveinchip."

"Lot of misrepresentation out there but goes with the territory. I'm excited about the future - except I'm depressed over the birds!," Gargano told me via text.

Marc Rayfield, senior vice president and market manager for CBS Radio, said: "We offered Anthony a new contract but were unable to come to an agreement. We wish him well."

Sources said that Josh Innes, whose contract was recently extended, would be taking Gargano's spot, as reported by Crossing Broad's Kyle Scott, who also posited that Gargano could jump to WIP's rival, 97.5 the Fanatic.

Sources also said that Gargano is not happy with the direction the station is going in.
