On March 6, members of the Association of Major Symphony Orchestra Volunteers (AMSOV) concluded their 40th biennial conference meetings with a dinner at Ardrossan in Villanova. AMSOV is an international organization made up of volunteer organizations from major symphonies in the United States and Canada. The Philadelphia Orchestra hosted this year's meetings, held March 3-8 at the Bellevue in Philadelphia. More than 70 people representing 19 orchestras attended the conference. Although AMSOV conference dinners are usually held in individual homes, this year's dinner was held at the famed Ardrossan estate because of its elegant setting and the family's connections with the Philadelphia Orchestra. Not a fund-raising event, volunteers and orchestra supporters offered donations.
