Donors Are Heroes hosted THE Party March 27 at the Four Seasons. Food, dancing, and dining were on the menu at the event's 12th annual celebration, with more than 400 attendees raising money for the Gift of Life Donor Program and its charitable supporting organization, the Transplant Foundation. Founded in 1974, Gift of Life links donors and patients and has coordinated more than 35,000 organ transplants and more than 500,000 tissue transplants. Thousands of people in the Philadelphia region are waiting for transplants, and many will die before they receive needed organs or tissues. Event proceeds will go to raising awareness through public-education programs, school summits, and teaching initiatives.
